Event Description

Formation (2nd) and Knighthood (3rd) Degree Exemplifications.

IMPORTANT: All 1st-degree members of the Knights of Columbus who have not received the lessons and the honors of the 2nd & 3rd degrees are welcome and encouraged to participate. These degrees are essential for Catholic gentlemen who wish to grow in their knowledge of the Faith and of the Order of the Knights of Columbus. The Formation degree's theme is unity--Christians are called to unity of Faith and action in charity. The Knighthood degree's theme is fraternity--what does it mean to be a band of brothers in service of Christ? For more information about degrees and ceremonials, click here and then scroll down to the Comment Wall.

Candidates need to arrive by no later than 12:30 pm to prepare for the Formation degree exemplification.

Comment by District 15 Knights on Sunday

10 Knights took the Formation (2nd) and Knighthood (3rd) degree exemplifications this afternoon. Catholic and KofC unity and fraternity were enhanced via the excellent work of the degree teams.

Wives, girlfriends, sisters: Please encourage your men to participate in these degrees, as the degrees will help these men to grow in their Faith and in their relationship to you!

What if a Knight has completed the formation but not the knighthood degree. What time should they arrive?

Good question, Steve, about when the 3rd degree will start. I will contact our ceremonials chairman to get an estimate on that, and I will get back to you asap.

From our ceremonials chairman: "2nd degree takes 40 minutes.  Candidate should be there at the start of the 2nd degree so that at the end he can join the other candidates in the anti-chamber."

Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for asking.
