The Knights of Columbus Substance Abuse Awareness Poster Contest is an opportunity for children ages 8 - 14 to use their artistic abilities to expressing their rejection to Substance and Alcohol Abuse. They also use their creativity by coming up with a phrase or slogan to emphasize the drawing.
The topics for the Substance Abuse Awareness Contest are Substance/Narcotics Abuse and Alcohol Abuse .
All you need to hold an event is a team willing to score and grade the Posters submitted by students. You can work in combination with a Catholic School, a Religious Education program in your local parish, a Squires Circle.
It is that simple! Here are the simple steps:
1) Order your materials from the Supreme Council by filling out the Supreme Substance Abuse Awareness Poster Order Form.
2) If several councils in your District are participating, find some people to judge for your District Poster Contest. District winners go directly to State. Check the Poster Contest Schedules by checking this site's Calendar of Events (and search for poster) or the Poster Contest District Schedule. This way you can plan your Council Competitions. District winners are judged at the December State Family Meeting.
3) When you have completed your local competition, make sure to submit the Supreme Poster Contest Participation Form As with all forms, send a copy to your District Deputy and another to firstname.lastname@example.org.
4) Other forms to be sent depending on the Competition level. Send all these to the Youth Director for the Iowa Knights of Columbus:
