M, his wife, and son venerated the relics of Saint Maria Goretti. This was an intensely spiritual event and was one of the greatest of my life. Saint Maria Goretti, please pray for us.

Jim & M,

Sounds like mnm, doesn't it. You men are blessed to be able to see these relics, God Bless you both for making the effort to see them, I'm sure there are graces coming your way. For those of you reading this and want a better understanding of the importance and the meaning of her relics, here is a short video outlining a very quick snapshot of her life told by a a Msgr. in Belleville, Missouri where she will be tomorrow (Monday Oct.19th):

God forgive us all, we depend on your Mercy!

We offered the 9:00 Mass in St. Maria Goretti's parish this morning. The pastor, Father Mike, was obviously deeply touched by the event. He talked about the amazing, powerful experience that it was. He even related a possible miracle that took place during the 23 hours St. Maria Goretti was present in Madison, the healing of a person with a handicapped arm. Father Mike also indicated that the Holy Father was watching this tour carefully and had recently added two more parishes to the schedule. As Father indicated, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I have been devoted to little Maria Goretti for years, and I feel so blessed that this opportunity was available. I now have several third-class relics, including my third-degree medallion. God is good!

My wife and I also participated in the veneration of the remains of St. Maria Goretti at St. Maria Goretti Parish in Madison this past Friday. I agree it was a powerful experience. St. Maria, pray for us today and everyday. She is a wonderful example of forgiveness for us all to follow.
