"Travel Gavel" meetings are usually held in the winter months. The "Travel Gavel" is presented to a Council in northeast Iowa for best membership showing at meetings with other Councils. Travel Gavel points are added up over the fraternal year, and the northeast Iowa Council with the most points earns the Travel Gavel. Attending Travel Gavel meetings is a way to learn what other Councils are doing, and winning the Travel Gavel is a source of pride for the Council. Attending Travel Gavel meetings is a wonderful manifestation of Christian unity and fraternity, and the food is usually quite good.

Which District 8 Council will earn the Travel Gavel this fraternal year?
