Plane Pull 2015 for Special Olympics coming back in June!!

Iowa Knights are encouraged to organize a team and begin fundraising now for the 2015 Special Olympics Iowa Plane Pull on 6 June 2015 in Des Moines.

Last year’s inaugural event raised $115,000, well above the $70,000 goal. Despite the rainy and cool weather, the 2014 event was a fun adventure and the plane actually moved!

Fourth Degree District Master Joe Ramirez, a member of the Special Olympics Iowa Board of Directors, has set the challenge for no less than 20 Iowa Knights teams. Can We Do It…Yes We Can!

We will again have a team of priests - the White Collar Crew -- and encourage Knights from around the state to support them financially as it goes to a very good cause.

Knights in the Des Moines area should consider having their own teams. What a fun and inspiring event it was last year.

Our challenge is to come up with 20 Knights of Columbus TEAMS raising a minimum of $1,000 per team to support Special Olympics Iowa. District Master and Special Olympics Director Joe Ramirez’s challenge to the KNIGHTS is if we can enter 20 teams he will have his head shaved by the athletes at the PLANE PULL.
