We hope you'll prayerfully consider membership in the Patriotic (4th) Degree.

Degrees are exemplifications of what it means to be a Catholic and a Knight and are organized around the main principles of our Order (http://www.kofc.org/en/about/principles/index.html). The degrees reveal how the Knights of Columbus, as an organization, is different from other community service groups. The first (admission) degree is the introductory and initiation lesson with focus on the theological virtue of "charity." The second (formation) degree has "unity" as a theme. The third (knighthood) degree has "fraternity" as a theme. The fourth (patriotic) degree is the final degree (http://iowakofc.org/page/4th-degree-membership) and is emblematic of the Order by virtue of the characteristic chapeaux, capes, swords, etc., that fourth-degree members wear when participating in honor guards (http://iowakofc.org/page/4th-degree-color-corps-1). For a podcast on the purpose of degrees, visit http://iowaknightlife.org/iowa-knight-life-2015-09-02/ All of the degree exemplifications help members to increase their knowledge of the Faith and of the Order and move them toward greater service to Christ's one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic Church and to the world.

I am the Profile Page (website) chairman for IowaKofC.org. Let me know if you have questions about your Profile Page (website) and/or the IowaKofC.org website platform.

Overview of IowaKofC.org:

If you've got a personal Profile Page (website) here on IowaKofC.org, what do you do with it? Answer: http://iowakofc.org/profiles/blogs/ok-so-you-ve-got-a-personal-profile-page-website-here-on-iowakofc

How to enliven your Profile Page and by showing all of the activity from the entire IowaKofC.org website on your own Profile Page: http://iowakofc.org/profiles/blogs/how-to-show-all-of-the-activity-from-the-entire-iowakofc-org

Another way to see all of the activity across IowaKofC.org is to click on the Activity tab in the "Update Central" box in the middle column on the main (home) IowaKofC.org webpage.

If you want to get a Profile Page (website) operating for your Council, Assembly, and/or District, go to http://iowakofc.org/video/iowa-kc-council-profile-set-up for an instructional video. For more information and discussion on this issue, go to http://iowakofc.org/forum/topics/set-up-council-profile-page

Catholic gentlemen these days EXPECT to see a council website AND facebook page, and they're not difficult to set up. IowaKofC.org is *THE* place for a council, assembly, and/or district Profile Page (website) because it is easy to use, interactive, and FREE!
