Link 1---->>Recruitment leaflet.  This can be modified to suit the needs of a council or member and printed up and sliced to make slips suitable for carrying in one's wallet and, when one encounters a prospective member, a slip with the member's name and contact info on it can be given to the prospect, and the prospect's name and contact info can be jotted down on a second slip so that the member can contact the prospect again at a later date.  This sometimes seems to break the ice when discussing the KC's with a potential member.

McGivney is the founder of the Knights of Columbus.  "The Father Michael J. McGivney Guild serves as a source for information about the life, works and spirituality of Father McGivney. The Guild distributes informational materials about him, receives reports of favors granted through his intercession and oversees the distribution of relics. Guild members receive regular updates on the progress of Father McGivney's cause for canonization and are invited to participate in promoting devotion to this Servant of God. Members of the Knights of Columbus are not automatically Guild members and must elect to join the Guild. The Father Michael J. McGivney Guild Newsletter is published bimonthly except July- August, and is sent free to Guild members" (from the Guild website).

Council 1697 Mission Statement and Prayer:

The Knights of Columbus was founded by Venerable Servant of God Father Michael McGivney, a New Haven parish priest, in 1882. The organization was formed to provide charitable outreach and care for the financial well being of Catholic families, focusing on the protection of widows and orphans, and on strengthening the faith of its members. It has grown into the world’s largest lay Catholic organization, with more than 1.8 million members throughout North and Central America, the Philippines, the Caribbean and Europe. The enormous force for good of the nearly 15,000 Knights of Columbus councils donated more than $1.5 billion and 682 million hours of service over the last decade to various charitable causes.  The New Hampton Knights of Columbus Council 1697 follows in this tradition in our local area, and we ask for the prayers of our guardian angels, our patron Saint, Saint Joseph, the blessed Virgin Mary under the title of our Lady of Guadalupe, Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney (founder of the Knights of Columbus), and all people as we try to help our brothers and sisters in the service of our Lord Jesus the Christ.  May the Holy Spirit come upon our Council and all people such that we may serve our heavenly Father in Truth and Justice.  Amen.

Our Mothers Warning

Peace my beloved children, peace be with you all!

I, your Immaculate Mother, love you immensely and come from heaven to tell you that the Lord invites you to conversion and holiness through me.

Without prayer you will not be able to walk in this world that is increasingly letting itself be enveloped in the darkness of Satan, because it does not pray.

Be strong in faith and faithful to God. Do not doubt, but be…
