Passing of a Brother Sir Knight

It is with a very heavy heart to report the passing of Sir Knight Mark Kakert. Mark suffered a massive heart attack on Saturday evening May 14, and sadly passed away on Wednesday evening May 18 at the age of 55 years old. Mark & I have been lifelong friends. Mark just received the honor of the 4th degree on March 12, 2016 at the Davenport exemplification. He was very active in both his council & assembly. Visitation is Sunday May22 from 2:00 - 6:00pm and the funeral Mass on Monday May…See More

Remembering Our Fallen exhibit at Des Moines Marriott Downtown

April 15, 2016 at 9:30am to April 17, 2016 at 11am
A very emotional memorial, “Remembering Our Fallen,” is a stark reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made by 128 Fallen from Iowa killed in The War on Terror while wearing our country’s uniform in a war zone. The photo memorial, which includes military and personal photos of each of Iowa’s Fallen, is traveling throughout the state and will be coming to Des Moines on April 15-17, 2016, as part of the 2016 State Convention of the Iowa Knights of Columbus, being held at the Des Moines Marriott…See More

If you want to get a website/profile operating for your Council, Assembly, and/or District, go to http://iowakofc.org/video/iowa-kc-council-profile-set-up for an instructional video. For more information and discussion on this issue, go to http://iowakofc.org/forum/topics/set-up-council-profile-page

Catholic gentlemen these days EXPECT to see a council website AND facebook page, and they're not difficult to set up. IowaKofC.org is *THE* place for a council, assembly, and/or district website because it is easy to use, interactive, and FREE!

Welcome to the IowaKofC.org website.

Here’s how to enliven your Profile Page by showing all of the activity from the entire IowaKofC.org website on your own Profile Page: http://iowakofc.org/profiles/blogs/how-to-show-all-of-the-activity-from-the-entire-iowakofc-org

Another way to see all of the activity across IowaKofC.org is to click on the Activity tab in the "Update Central" box in the middle column on the main (home) IowaKofC.org webpage.

We hope you’ll take a look at the Council 4208 website; all you need to do is go to DecorahKnights.tk or http://iowakofc.org/profile/decorahknights and just scroll up and down to see all the information about the Decorah Knights of Columbus; it's that simple.

If it hasn’t already been done, we hope you or one of your fellow Council members will take the time to set up a website (aka profile) for your Council on the IowaKofC.org website.  Website training is at http://iowakofc.org/page/website-training  Feel free to use DecorahKnights.tk as a model.

Click here for Council 4208 contact information.

Please add us as a "Friend" if we’re not already friends on the IowaKofC.org website.  :-)

Click here and then scroll down to see the comments about the importance of having Knights take the second and third degrees asap after having been introduced to the Order via the first degree.

And, finally, why "waste" your time asking another man to join the Knights of Columbus? Here's why:
