'Choose Life' License Plates in Iowa

The State of Iowa has committed to making 'Choose Life' License Plates and making them available and this is great.
Under DOT rules, proponents have one year to obtain 500 applications for the plates, which cost $25 more than regular fees for motor vehicle registrations. So far they only have around 200 orders, so we need to get ordering.…

Update on the Wheelchair Mission

American Wheelchair Mission

As reported earlier at the July meeting, the Iowa Knights have purchased a sea container of 110 wheelchairs which have been ordered, and should be delivered to Haiti sometime in September or October. Dan Moberg of the Wheelchair  Mission told me that after the shipment arrives in Port Au Prince, it typically can take up to 5 months for the chairs to be cleared for distribution. Here are a few ideas in which you can do for Community events for August and Sept.

If you have peolpe that need a house or other property that needs painting or repair now is the time to get that job done.

With the weather the way it is you may want to take it easy in this extreme heat but it can be done with the right precautions.
