Dubourgh General Assembly #1573 meets in Cascade

The September meeting was held on Tuesday, September 26th at the Cascade Knights of Columbus #930.  The steak fry in August was a record breaker at 201 attending and $1,500 profit to go to vocations.  Thank you to everyone who stopped and helped with the steak fry.  It was a great event.  There also was discussion on the new Fourth Degree uniforms on the reason why the new uniforms, how it was rolled out and the timeline on when the new uniforms should be worn.  The deadline for the…

Iowa Catholic Conference Newsletter, Sept. 27, 2017: 'Do not be afraid to share hope'

SHARE THE JOURNEY

Pope Francis today launched a worldwide, two-year “Share the Journey” campaign calling on Catholics to ‘encounter’ migrants and refugees in an effort to break down barriers of fear and suspicion and build bridges of understanding and hospitality. “Brothers and sisters, do not be afraid to share the journey! The highest honor of the Knights of Columbus was bestowed on Father Gerard E. Hammond, a Maryknoll priest who has engaged in a heroic mission over the past two decades by ministering to the people of North Korea.
