Worthy State Deputy Jon and his lovely wife Cindi have been preparing for this transition for some months now, and I am sure that the emotions are raw and real for them on this first day of this remarkable journey.

In the same generous and selfless manner in which he served as State Deputy in the previous decade, Michael again offered tremendous service to the Knights of Iowa, their…Continue

The Supreme Court of the greatest Country on earth has deliberated a radical decision declaring marriage between one man and one woman as unconstitutional in our land, therefore allowing so called 'gay marriage' in all States now. This is directly against Catholic teaching of marriage to be between a man and a woman (ref. Catechism of the Catholic Church Article 7, 1601-1666). We need to pray for our Country, our Holy Catholic Church and pray for those who are being misled by the culture of…Continue

We are disappointed by the Iowa Supreme Court’s decision to strike down a rule prohibiting abortions by telemedicine.
In 2013 the Iowa Board of Medicine approved a rule that required a…Continue
Pope Francis has released his encyclical letter “Laudato Si” (Praise Be to You). Addressing his letter to all the people living on the planet, the pope asks us to consider what kind of world we want to leave to those who come after us.
The chair of the Iowa Catholic Conference board, Bishop Richard Pates of Des Moines, said, “‘Praise be to you’ as an encyclical is not a political…Continue
