The Iowa Great Lakes Knights of Columbus Council 5043 has had a number of fundraising activities in the past 12 months, including omelet, pancake, and coffee and doughnut community events, as well as its heavily-attended Soup and Pie Supper in November.

Several members of the Decorah Knights attended the Travel Gavel meeting in Waukon on Tue 10 Feb 2015. In addition to the regular members, three members of the northeast Iowa Knights of Columbus insurance team were in attendance: Mike Bormann, Dan Conlon, and new field agent Wally Witt. They provided inspirational and helpful information.

Area boys and girls in grades 4, 5, 6 and 7 are welcome to compete in the 2014 Knights of Columbus Spelling Bee. Iowa Great Lakes Council 5043 is sponsoring the always-entertaining contest February 11 at the Spirit Lake Middle School music room. SPIRIT LAKE – Thirty girls and boys ages 9 to 14 participated in the 2014 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship last weekend, and six earned the right to compete at the regional level. Iowa Great Lakes Council 5043 in Spirit Lake sponsored the local competition at Spirit Lake High School.
