The Iowa Knights of Columbus are holding their 18th Annual Eastern Iowa Camporee the weekend of 16-18 August 2013. It will be held in Monticello, IA at the Walnut Acres Campgrounds which is located at the north end of Monticello on Highway 38. The theme this year will be cartoon characters.

Note: The camporee is open to non-campers who would like to participate in the potluck and camporee activities. There are motels in the area, Anamosa or Cascade as the Blue Inn in Monticello is no longer a motel, or you can come out and spend the day with us if you live close by. Please invite your fellow knights to the campout or even a potential fellow knight.
Below is the camporee’s schedule:
Thursday, 15 August: The early birds go out for supper at a local restaurant.
Friday, 16 August: Registration from 4 PM to 6 PM. Wine and cheese party from 7 PM at the pavilion. Please bring wine and cheese/snacks to share. There will be a campfire after the party.
Saturday, 17 August: Registration from 8 AM to 9 AM at the pavilion. Here Dummy tournament registration at 10 AM. Please bring boards to the campout for us to use at the tournament. General meeting after tournament. Mass at 4 PM in the hall. Fourth Degree, please dress in your regalia. Potluck dinner at 6:00 p.m. in the hall. Bring your food along with your own table service. Coffee and coffee cups will be provided. After potluck in the pavilion at 8 PM. We will have the judging of the best cartoon character costumes for adults and children. Three places each group. We will also have some games for entertainment. The campfire will follow.
Sunday, 18 August: Free coffee, juice, milk, and donuts at 8 AM for all KofC campers at the pavilion. Collection of nonperishable foods and monies will be given to the local parish priest to be distributed by the local parish food bank.
