Ankeny’s Council 15603 Receives its Charter on Pentecost

Father Richard E. Gubbels Council 15603 in Ankeny received their Charter during the end of Saint Luke the Evangelist’s Pentecost Mass on 19 May 2013.

District Deputy Jason Follett of Ankeny presided at the Presentation of Charter Ceremony. By receiving their Charter, Council 15603 now has evidence of its right to exist and certification of its affiliation and fellowship with the entire membership of the Knights of Columbus.

Representing the Iowa Knights of Columbus at the ceremony were State Deputy Joe Ramirez of Des Moines, State Secretary Dan Werner of West Des Moines, State Warden Jon Aldrich of Altoona, and State Treasurer Francis Schlueter of Ankeny. A Fourth Degree Honor Guard was also present and served during the Mass and ceremony.

Father Richard E. Gubbels Council 15603, formed in November 2012, is lead by Grand Knight Bob Lickteig. It currently has 54 Knights as members.
