Catholic Event Provides Opportunities Now to Strengthen Faith

The conference, a wonderful example of a grassroots volunteer effort for faith-building, requires many volunteers. The Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus have previously provided the Honor Guard during the conference Masses. We wish to invite additional members of the Knights to serve in other ways during the conference. Thank you in advance for your time and support.

The Knights of Columbus can be of great assistance in the following areas:

Set Up - On Friday before the event, many hands are needed to set up speaker tables and transporting musical instruments, among other tasks. Having a pickup or similar vehicle is a plus, but not required. Some lifting of books and supplies may be needed. We will consider any physical limitations you note on the volunteer application before assigning this job.

Usher - On Saturday and Sunday assist attendees with seating and monitor stairways for clear access.

Adoration - On Saturday and Sunday spend an hour or more in the Adoration Chapel to assure the Blessed Sacrament is always attended.

Reconciliation - On Saturday and Sunday monitor the lines of persons waiting to participate in the sacrament of Reconciliation.

Take Down - After Sunday’s closing Mass, pack up and return instruments and supplies. This ministry includes lifting and ability to manage stairs.

By volunteering a minimum of 2 hours the weekend of the conference, you may purchase a conference ticket at the discounted price of $15. Check our conference speakers and/or schedule to determine what timeframes you can volunteer.

Go to the conference website and then click on the Volunteer Application Link to fill out the form. Choose a job category. Choose one or more shifts to volunteer. Submit your application and you will be directed to a “purchase ticket” page where you will have the option to purchase a Volunteer ticket for a discounted price. If a group of Knights want to volunteer as a group for the same job, each member should register individually and mark the same job (for example: Sunday Take Down)

In the weeks before the conference, you will receive communication for your volunteer training and job specifics. Bring your “volunteer” ticket to the conference and exchange it for your red wrist band, volunteer shirt, and assignment.
