UPDATED: Iowa Knights Encouraged to Volunteer for Iowa Mission of Mercy This October

Do you enjoy working with people? A wide variety of jobs are available for general volunteers from patient registration, escorting patients around the clinic, assisting the Salvation Army in feeding volunteers and patients, taking care of children in the child care center to overnight patient relations. There is something for everyone!  It takes over 500 general volunteers to keep the clinic running smoothly each day.

Do not want to be at the clinic?  Help set up on Thursday, 17 October 2013 or tear down on Sunday, 19 October 2013.

FYI: The earlier individuals register to volunteer, the better it is for the organizers to see where the 'gaps' lie in shifts. So, volunteer now!

The Iowa Dental Foundation will sponsor the Iowa Mission of Mercy (Iowa MOM) this fall at the Iowa State Fairgrounds on 18-19 October 2013. The event, which provides free dental care services to needy Iowans, is actually four days in duration including the day before to set up and the day after for tearing down.

Iowa Knights of Columbus are encouraged to participate as one of the over 1000+ lay volunteers needed to make the Iowa MOM a success again in 2013.
