Parking and Directions to the 2016 State Convention

Due to some major construction, 7th Street is closed starting at Watson Powell Jr. Way, and it opens up again at Grand. If you are coming from Interstate 235, we suggest you take the 5th St. exit, go south on 5th Street to Grand Ave, make a right (West) on Grand Ave until you reach the Marriott.

Parking is also a challenge as a new 330-bed convention style hotel is being constructed. There are city-owned parking garages at the following locations-  7th and Locust and 9th and Locust. Both will access the hotel via the Skywalk.

More for future reference than anything else at this point, Is there really a "5th St. exit" on I 235 in Des Moines? We could not find that exit. We got to the hotel from 235 in a round-about way.

Welcome to the website.

Here’s how to enliven your Profile Page by showing all of the activity from the entire website on your own Profile Page:

Another way to see all of the activity across is to click on the Activity tab in the "Update Central" box in the middle column on the main (home) webpage.

We hope you’ll take a look at the Council 4208 website; all you need to do is go to or and just scroll up and down to see all the information about the Decorah Knights of Columbus; it's that simple.

If it hasn’t already been done, we hope you or one of your fellow Council members will take the time to set up a website (aka profile) for your Council on the website.  Website training is at  Feel free to use as a model.

Click here for Council 4208 contact information.

Please add us as a "Friend" if we’re not already friends on the website.  :-)

Click here and then scroll down to see the comments about the importance of having Knights take the second and third degrees asap after having been introduced to the Order via the first degree.

And, finally, why "waste" your time asking another man to join the Knights of Columbus? Here's why:
