On 10 November 2012 a group of Knights from Pope John Paul I Council 10150 in St. Marys spent the day removing trees and brush from the rural driveway of Cindy Robinson, a parishioner from Immaculate Conception Church in St Marys.
Robinson was wounded roadside bomb while serving in Iraq. Her driveway had become nearly impassable due to erosion and the trees and brush. A total of thirty people including Knights, neighbors and friends provided the labor and equipment to do the job. Many chainsaws, two skid-loaders, and two large tractors with blades and loaders as well three truckloads of gravel were donated to the cause. The trees and brush were trim back to 20-30 feet either side of the drive and the surface was re-graded and surfaced with the grave making the drive very accessible. Ladies from the community prepared lunch for the crew.
