State Deputy's Message: Saint Valentine’s Day - 14 February 2013

We clearly understand that the purpose of Saint Valentine’s Day is to let those we care about know that we love them. However, because of commercialization, we easily forget that the source and foundation of all human love is God, our Creator.

Love is always patient and kind; love is never jealous; love is not boastful or conceited, it is never rude and never seeks its own advantage, it does not take offence or store up grievances. Love does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but finds its joy in the truth. It is always ready to make allowances, to trust, to hope and to endure whatever comes. ~ 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 ~

As it is, these remain: faith, hope and love, the three of them; and the greatest of them is love. ~ 1 Corinthians 13:13 ~

Lord, we are grateful that you have made us in your image, enabling us to be people of love. We pray that we may ever grow in union with you and in union with each other.

Vivat Jesus!
