Many people in the Gulf Coast of Texas are reeling from the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey this weekend. Thousands have evacuated their homes, many of which have been damaged or destroyed.
The recovery process is going to be a long and painful one, and your support is urgently needed.
During the floods and tornadoes of 2008, several State Councils stepped up supporting our Disaster Relief Fund. We have done so with other states such as Missouri and Oklahoma when they have been hit by tornadoes and Louisiana and Florida when hurricanes have required additional support.
The Iowa State Council has just donated $1,000 to assist with these efforts. We will also be requesting prayers for those affected by this historical and devastating event.
Please DONATE TODAY via the Supreme Council's drive to help those suffering such devastation. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go directly to relief efforts. This includes providing immediate needs such as food, clean water, shelter and other necessities.
It is at moments like this that the strong right arm of the Church extends its hand to help those in such desperate need.
I appreciate your support and prayers for our brothers and sisters in Texas.
