Beginning 31 August and running through 3 November, Msgr. J. M. Hanson Council 5038 of the Knights of Columbus will be conducting their Seventh Annual Raffle for Life.
The raffle’s proceeds will again benefit the Gabriel Project, a parish-based pregnancy assistance program sponsored by 11 Polk County area parishes. In the past 12 months, the Gabriel Project has assisted 50 local women as they have given birth to 52 babies (yes, there were two sets of twins).
Last year, the Raffle for Life provided over $8,600 in assistance which went directly to these new moms and their babies in the form of emergency housing, pre-natal care, formula, diapers, baby beds, strollers, car seats and other newborn needs. This assistance would not have been possible without your support. So, once again the Knights ask for your support for life, from conception to natural death.
Besides supporting a Culture of Life, ticket purchasers are also in the drawing for various prizes donated by generous Brother Knights, individuals, and businesses.
