I bring to your attention a critical effort in the Church:
We Want to Teach! We Want to Be Taught!
"We Want to Teach! We Want to be Taught!" is a grassroots initiative from the laity and religious to request that the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church publish, for the Universal Church, an Ordinary Sunday catechetical lectionary. The implementation of this initiative, which takes place in phases, will help combat the catechesis crisis we face in our Church today.

From: Samuel Scheidt (Grand Knight) Sent: Saturday, June 2, 2018 11:15 AM Subject: calling brother knights
At our May meeting, we discussed the possibility of calling members for our future meetings. At our June meeting, I will pass around a roster of all KofC men, and we will all pick names of members that we can individually call. I will try to remember some extra paper and pens, but it would be helpful if every member at the meeting could bring a paper and pen to write down the name of ten or so Knights to call for our July meeting.
Next Council meeting: Monday 12 Feb @ 7 pm. Location: Saint Benedict's school gym; click here for map.
This will be a very special meeting to celebrate Field Agent Dan Conlon's retirement and Deacon Dan O'Brien's service to the Decorah and Ossian/Calmar/Festina/Spillville parishes. It will also be a travel gavel meeting, so we need a lot of Knights to attend. The celebration will start @ 7 pm with an Admissions (1st) Degree Exemplification followed by meeting, spiritual formation, and light meal. All brother Knights are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Mardi Gras is this Sunday FEB 11 2018. Help is needed with the bingo and 50/50 card game. Please call Grand Knight Sam if you can help (608-790-4246). Bring your kids/grandkids! They can help you or just spend your change.
