I'm pretty sure it was your profile page, Mike, that inspired me to try to increase the quality and quantity of information on my own profile page. In so many ways, you and Anita are an inspiration to us Knights. Please be assured of my prayers, as I know that we are all sinners but, if we are true to our Catholic call, we are trying to grow in the Lord, attempting to sin less and become more holy, in the same Spirit as our holy predecessors, the Saints. That being said, I would appreciate your prayers. Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus, pray for us all, especially those of us who have been called into the Order of the Knights of Columbus.
I hope you’ll take a look at the Council 4208 website; all you need to do is go to DecorahKnights.tk or http://iowakofc.org/profile/decorahknights and just scroll up and down to see all the information about the Decorah Knights of Columbus; it's that simple. If it hasn’t already been done, I hope you’ll take the time to set up a website (aka profile) for your Council on the IowaKofC.org website. Website training is at http://iowakofc.org/page/website-training Feel free to use DecorahKnights.tk as a model. And please don’t forget to give us feedback on our website in the comment box at the very bottom of DecorahKnights.tk, by sending us a message via the IowaKofC.org message system (click on the “Inbox” link near the top right of your profile), or by sending email to DecorahKnights@gmail.com
It is pleasure to meet you in Cedar Falls. Ken Root described you and he as the "Moses and Aaron" of the Knight Life radio program -- he just didn't say who is whom!??! Or whom is who?!??! Be blessed always and in all ways, Mike!
Thanks but Ken loaded it as a video and all videos show up in the video box. We should find time to discuss and understand a clear strategy for handling the Knight Life for the future. I believe we have a better approach... that can be highlighted.
My mind is formulating a "place-holder" image (small, but relevant to the topic) and the file would be back-linked to it. Again, we should review the options. I am glad it worked through the video upload - I am not sure anyone envisioned this approach.
Dan McEleney, Grand Knight of St. Edwards Council #707 in Clinton, Iowa, presents a check in the amount of $3547 to Executive Director Merri Harridge of the Pregnancy Center in Clinton. The money was collected from the “Baby Bottle Drive”, from bottles distributed at Prince of Peace Church in Clinton and Church of the Visitation, Camanche. Past Grand Knight Jim Horst, not present in the picture, was chairman of the drive. The "Baby Bottle Drive" is when we pass out baby bottles on Mother's Day and ask parishner's to put their loose change in the bottle and return them on Father's Day.
